Up there with the best D.T has to offer.

I'd be hard pushed to pick between this, 'Scenes From A Memory' or 'Octavarium' as my fave D.T CD, but I will say this has one of my top 3 fave songs of all time on it.... 'Disappear'....
From the tech metal of 'The Test That Stumped Them All' to the acoustic excellence of 'Solitary Shell', S.D.O.I.T is a masterpiece. The fact that it's a double album just adds to the enjoyment. Put on 'Misunderstood' at anti social levels and tell me you haven't got a big grin on your face..... Go on..... Do it.. :-)

This album may take a bit more getting used to than some of the others, but it's deffinetly up their with the best of their work!
Each song has a lot of work poured into it and are all very enjoyable to listen to!
"The Glass Prison", the for AA song is incredible, upbeat and heavy.. cant go wrong =D
"The Great Debate" is one that I wasn't too keen on at first, but after it came onto my ipod shuffle and i actually listened to it, i realised what a great song it is!
SDOIT, the title track..... well just listen to it, or even better watch it on the Score DVD. It will not disappoint! =D

Dont listen to the guys review below who claims he was dissapointed, this album is often considered better than Scenes from a Memory and Six Degress of Inner Turbulence is a masterpiece of song writing.

DT is one of my favourite bands, though I was disappointed by this album. Songs fall into deep technicity and are not pleasant to listen to.
Couldn't really appreciate this work, especially the first cd, which I don't find interesting.

Having been an avid DT fan for a few years now, it is so difficult to compare albums, and decide which is the best. With the exception of the first album horrow show, all DT's studio albums are excellent, and probably deserve 5 stars. This, however, is the pick of them to date. I also think I am in the minority here, but it is better than SFAM. The first 5 tracks are all lengthy, complex, and typical DT. "Disappear" is quite beautiful, and so understated it is not true. Now, these 5 tracks are good, but the 42 minutes that is SDOIT are splendid. All the DT components are in there, and it includes the unbelievably catchy Solitary Shell, and a rousing finish to the best album to date by this band. I must have played this CD 300 + times.
