Ok so i only previously heard their cover of song 2 by blur on a relatives album then i loved it so much it fast became my favourite song and i started realising who they were and watched their singles as they came out on Kerrang. I fast fell in love with their music and basically annoyed everyone i knew by blasting them constantly from anything that played music.
This is an amazing album i'm gutted that our adventures have come to an end!

An amazing album from MCR which has just propelled them to being one of the best bands in the world. I would earge anyone to buy this album because it in some ways could change your whole taste in music. I was never a great fan of MCR but when I listened to this I have become addicted to their music. A must buy and their new album is also amazing. A BRILLIANT BAND.

This is the most emotive album I have heard in a while.. You can't help but feel something to Gerard Way's voice. I was unsure when they first released the black parade single as I preferred their first two album's, but now I've heard the whole album I'm totally in love with it.

An honest review

I would have called this a non-biased review but I think judging that I was a huge fan of the bands first and second albums that would make me a bit biased so here goes.
"Three Cheers" grabbed the attention of a lot of people into the rock genre and this made the band really big. In my opinion that was their best album, I couldn't get enough of it. As time went on the band changed - as all other bands do and their sound evolved. When I first picked up this album I had already seen My Chemical Romance live and couldn't wait till the next time. Immediately I was disappointed but the songs did eventually grow on me. It is a really good album but the band grew so much that it wasn't just the rock kids that were into them anymore, they became really mainstream and everyone knew about them. Even I was sick of hearing their name after this album came out. The only way you can blame the band for their annoying horde of superfans is by making the music more pop so that it appealed to more people but I think that that was unintentional. It was just how they evolved. And after all, isn't the point of being a musician, to get your music heard by as many people as possible? After this album, I was no longer a big fan of My Chemical Romance, I still love their old songs but the type of music on this album just wasn't catered that much towards someone like me. That said, it is a good album, worth the purchase and it has made them very well known in the rock and mainstream media. Stand-out tracks for me are "Sleep" "Mama" and "Teenagers". To be honest, I am more interested in the album they are currently working on as I was very impressed with their cover of "Desolation Row."
