Out of all of the films featuring either Aliens or Predators this is the worst by miles, another reviewer described it as any teen slasher movie but featuring AVP characters and that is spot on. AVP 1 was passable and an interesting story idea this however was needless...... save your pennies for the Prometheus blu ray.

Better than people say... And it is uncut on UK Blu-ray!

This a huge improvement on the DVD release, which was very dark and hard to follow in the action sequences. The contrast of the Blu-ray is fantastic. This is a solid 20th Century Fox upgrade. Alot of reviwers have said this is 'cut' because the box states 89mins, yes the sleeve does say this, but attention should have been made to the running time on peoples players! This comes in at 94mins! IT'S THE EXTENDED VERSION...!
All in all it is not the best movie ever made, but as a slice of sci-fi action, you can't go wrong. Enjoy it!

I really enjoyed the 1st avp but this had more in common with an american teenage slasher movie, very disapointed

Admittedly there's a perverse pleasure to be had watching a seasoned Predator bash all kinds of crap out of those nasty Alien critters but it does involve having to sit through a supremely silly film. Marginally less silly than its immediate predecessor, mind, and one that moves at a lightning pace. This entry in the franchise is totally intent on crossing all sorts of lines, gleefully serving up a kid getting chestburstered and some truly gruesome stuff with pregnant women.

I actually quite liked the brainlessnes of it. Couldn't have cared less about any of the non characters in the film, love all the Aliens and Predators and effects. It reminded me of what happens when you take a hit movie franchise and scale it down to T.V shorts, you know, nobody actors cause the budget does'nt stretch to it, no real plot cause no serious writers want to get involved, special effects by a bunch of highly talented individuals in a market that can't cater for all the available talent, and patched together by a director that no one knows or cares about but is trying to get his name related to a big draw feature at whatever cost. Saying that the quality is good as a BD, it drifted by fairly painlessly as a movie and I didn't feel hard done by at the end.
I mean really what are you expecting here? AVP was pushing it and was a better film, but AVP Requieum...!! Brainless fun I thought and worth the punt to keep the collection in tact.
I was going to give it 4 stars but am giving it 5 because others gave it 1.......

IT GOT BETTER?

Recently got this on blu-ray and I must say that the quality appears to be good. I have now only seen this film twice - first when it was screened at the cinema, and secondly upon viewing my purchase at home. I have to say that, probably like most, I left the cinema feeling pretty let down by this movie. Sure the alien and predator scenes were good, but the human side of things was a major let down - I just didn't empathise with their plight. However, after watching it at home just 2 nights ago, I really enjoyed it. Sure it's no classic, but after watching the special features I realised that a lot of love went into making this movie - the makers new that they had a hard job ahead of them, due to the standard of what had come before them from the seperate franchises. Anyway, 4 stars from me just cause that's what i want to give x

A disgraceful film for kids only.

Im so angry with the directors for ruining two of the greatest aliens of all time in one film. I have waited for 14 years to see AVP on the big screen and instead we get this garbage! Aliens and Predator have so much potential to make good films.
There's so much wrong with this film I just don't know where to start. I have to say I didn't like the first one much but this one is 10 times worse! The acting is terrible followed up by the worst story of all time. No infact there wasn't even a story. Just two Aliens having a boxing match on earth that's your story. Why did they have to put the two Aliens on earth or in our present time? It just didn't work! It would of been much better if it had been in the future or on another planet.
Where did they go wrong? The film should of had a decent director like James Cameron or Ridley Scott not some unknown director. Better actors and better dialogue with a bit of flame to the story and not set in our time. The only positive thing I can say about the film is both of the Aliens looked awesome. Other than that I pray they don't make a 3rd one. Unless Brittish century Fox does what Batman has done and have it revamped into bigger budget movie, then yes by all means make another one. Please the fans are waiting.
In space everyone can hear the screams of disappointment.

I recently purchased this film on blu-ray and feel that i have been ripped.
I own the ultimate edition on dvd which runs at approx 96 mins
However my blu-ray version runs at approx 84 mins.
Could someone please explain how the missing 12mins from dvd version end up as deleted scenes on my blu-ray version?
Or are we to be ripped off again when they bring out a second blu-ray cut sorry for the rant hence the 2 star rating.

Good movie, bad director.

Aliens is my favourite movie of all time, and I have to say that I am so dissappointed with the Alien Vs Predator series of movies. The first one was rubbish and this one is ok but huge mistakes were made - for example in one scene a human killed an alien that was above him and no acid spurted out - he should have died. And in the hospital the cocoon like walls appeared in a couple of hours. Mmmmm. And don't get me started with the teenage theme at the start of the movie. Disappointed.

I enjoyed this movie. It`s not meant to be a high concept art house film.If you like no brainer, big on action cinema, this one`s for you.The Blu-Ray transfer is outstanding in every department.See it on a decent set up and all those intentionally dark and murky shots come up much clearer. The blood and gore is cranked up from the previous movie to a satisfying extent. There are an enormous amount of informative extras on this disc which will tell you everything you wanted to know about the galaxy`s two biggest, hardest neighbourhood bullies.
