The sequel to the $100 million hit, Resident Evil: Apocalypse is again based on the wildly popular video game series and picks up where the first film ended.
The zombies are back and so is Alice (Jovovich). Since being captured by the notorious Umbrella Corporation, she has been subjected to biogenetic experimentation and has become genetically altered with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity. Now, she has teamed with other survivors of Earth ready to destroy any zombie in their path. After escaping from the Racoon City Medical Facility, Alice searches for answers to the T-Virus and how to contain it. On the other side of town, a woman named Jill Valentine plots her own escape while battling the undead and Matt Adison, now transformed into a monster called "The Nemesis", who is bent on destroying all who live.

God awful trash
Posted by Play.com Reviewer, 05/08/2012 21:44:51
Really really really really awful. How this franchise is still going strong is beyond me. There must be a LOT of people who just like lots of silly over the top stunts and explosions with no real plot or decent script to speak of. Honestly, some of it made me turn away from the screen and roll my eyes - like the scene where 'Alice' suddenly appears at the top of a tall structure (for no reason) just to give an excuse for ANOTHER silly over the top slow-mo kill sequence she ab-sails down to get the unsuspecting guard. Just when you think it can't get any more stupid, she then develops magical Jedi powers for some reason - or is that in the 3rd one? I really don't know or care to be honest, the whole series is just terrible.

Looks Beautiful and Sounds Soooo Much Better in Blu Ray
Posted by Play.com Reviewer, 06/11/2011 17:34:16
I have this on DVD and it is one of my favourite films. In my option better than the original movie. I have just upgraded to Blu Ray and I was amazed just how good it looks. The colours are so rich and I was surprised at just how much better the surround sound was. If you liked the first film I would def recommend this one.

A worthy Blu

I am a huge fan of all the films, having seen all at the cinema and owning all the dvd's since release. After owning a blu player for a couple of months, I felt xmas was a good time to treat the mrs and I to the trio. After watching the first blu i felt a bit let down, thankfully this was a big improvement. A good conversion to blu, with great detail in picture and depth in sound. It would seem some people need to set up there surround sound, saying that this film was a let down in the sound department. This is one of the few film sound tracks that made me react to audio, so much so I looked at the corner behind me to see what was coming!

another average resi movie. if you like the first movie you should like this. plenty of guns, explosions and over the top stunts. milla saves the movie with her nip shots at the end, and im sure it'll look great in HD. i say give it a go you may like it.
