The Sequel to the hard-hitting drama Kidulthood, Adulthood stars Noel Clarke, Danny Dyer and Adam Deacon.
Six years after Sam Peel is released from jail for killing Trife, he soon realises that life is no easier on the outside than it was on the inside and he's forced to confront the people he hurt the most. Some have moved on, others are stuck with the repercussions of his actions that night, but one thing's for certain - everyone has been forced to grow up. Through his journey Sam struggles to deal with his sorrow and guilt and something else he didn't expect - those seeking revenge. As he's pursued by a new generation of bad boys, Sam sets about trying to get the message across to his pursuers that they should stop the violence, much like Trife tried to tell him all those years ago. Can Sam stop the cycle of violence and make something positive from the destruction he caused or will his journey into Adulthood end here?

A truly awful film.

This is probably the most astonishingly awful film I have ever seen. It wallows in depravity, bullying, violence and criminality, with the message that such things are cool. The film makes passing references to compassion and pity but only to smirk at how uncool such things are.
There are attempts to portray the events in the film as 'realism' but it just isn't true to life. Please don't try to tell me that I have missed the point, because I haven't. It is a blatant attempt to shock by way of glorified aggression, remorseless confrontation and bitterness.
This film has no redeeming features whatsoever.

After watching Kidulthood,I decided I must buy Adulthood to get the full story. I was not dissapointed when I purchased it. Was worth every penny. Great storyline throughout and a great sequel to Kidulthood. If purchasing Adulthood, I reccomend you buy Kidulthood aswell.

Better Than Kidulthood

Watched this over the weekend & it was a brillant sequel, I would class Kidulthood as a 4 star movie but this is a 5 star movie. Noel clarke has done a brillant job as he not only wrote & starred in this sequel as he did with Kidulthood, But he also directed Adulthood aswell. You don't need to have watched the first movie although it adds to the experience of this movie as it makes the plot fuller & more inter connecting.
If you liked Kidulthood you'll love Adulthood, Don't think just order it.

Sequel, which surpasses its predecessor

The sequel to Adulthood, and a 5 star for a number of reasons. First things first. If you haven't seen Kidulthood - WATCH IT before watching this. It isn't a requirement, but it certainly allows you to know the characters and their history's, making the story so much more significant and understandable, although you can probably watch this from the get go. This movie has so much more passion and emotion in it, and covers a lot of influential lessons, when dealing with feelings such as regret, redemption, sorrow, anger, revenge and everything. Such a powerful movie, and a spine-chilling look into todays youth. Such a good movie that I'm on here right now buying Kidulthood, and Adulthood on Blu-Ray - and with basic wages each month and with the prices of Blu-Ray, that alone shows the importance and appreciation I have for the 2 movies that I'm willing to buy them both. Adulthood is better just for the storyline involved. You love and hate characters, and even love the ones you used to hate, and hate the ones you used to love. It's rare that 2 movies can do that - it usually takes soaps months to build around characters to change your views on them. a 5 star, and the 1st/2nd best movie I saw at the cinema this year (1st/2nd being The Dark Knight)
