The Same Old Blood Rush With A New Touch
Posted by Play.com Reviewer, 02/11/2008 09:58:17
I like how the songs are written and performed but recently the singer's voice has annoyed me. I don't know whether it's because I've been listening to Slipknot but it sounds ever so whiney. The album is a cross between Fall Out Boy (style of songs) and New Found Glory (whiney voice). Don't let my knockbacks discourage you because there are quite a few good songs on here such as 'There's a Class for This'. The same old Blood rush with a similar kind of touch

This is, i think the most american emo band i have come across, especially for their routine use of the word clique. My statement has evidence, just look at Newport Living, an excellent song but extremely cliquey and what i find offensive is that they are talking down to people who aren't like them out of spite. however the album lacks differences, and the title suggest a completely new side of emo but really, cliques, high school, jocks and cheerleaders?? i've heared that a million times before. Although, sometimes, when i buy an album, i think it's not good, so i try to find a song that's slightly good, and a month later, i realize it was never good in the first place, but i find that difficult with this album, there are some great songs on it, but nothing outstanding, buy a jimmy eat world album, however, and you have a different story altogether.... I actually love this album...never get tired of it! They are a really genius band who come up with some of the greatest lyrics! It is an ultimate must for anyone who likes boys like girls, sugarcult, kids in glass houses etc.. cant wait to get their new album! at the risk of being disagreed with, i'm gonna give my opinion on the album, which i feel is fair. so i bought this... 12-14 months ago... before give it a name, wanted to know more on the bands playing, can't say i was blown away, the energy seems rather bottled up, like they were afraid to give it everything they had. i personally don't like the dudes voice. and in truth feel that he might fancy his own voice because there are some long (or at least seemed it) acapellas. the guitar never really thrilled me. the bass is very damp, the drums have elements, but its all too little to make me wanna sing along. I won't write it off with one star, but to be honest, people saying its unique to sing about teenage life... yellowcard, the ataris, sum 41, blink 182, green day, jimmy eat world, less than jake, paramore, new found glory, kids in glass houses, taking back sunday, sugarcult... same topics... i guess their is potential, but to me, this band and this album seem to be more of a "where did they go?" type thing.... hey, prove me wrong! peace xx Note: This Review was made by Play.com customer: Average on Rakuten’s Play.com on the date shown.
Lyrics are genius!

A must-have CD for all fans of pop-punk and from a wide range of other genres. The songs are extremely catchy with good vocals and great tunes. The lyrics are extremely intelligent and you'l find yourself laughing at the sheer honesty of them at points.. they are especially easily to relate to. These guys are really musically talented and have a big future ahead of them.. really worth the money! I love this album!! Ive had it like a week and have listened to it a thousand times. Perfect for when you've had a lousy day and want to cheer yourself up with some jolly dance around your bedroom tunes =]..The lyrics are so intelligent and really easy to relate to (especially if your a teenager or just out of school) my favourite songs are curse of curves, lyrical lies, risque...every single one! Good if you like Hellogoodbye, Fallout Boy, P!ATD etc... Note: This Review was made by Play.com customer: happygoluckii on Rakuten’s Play.com on the date shown.
Brilliant Album, Most People Just Don't Get it!

This is one of my fave albums. The main reason is because of the lyrics, thet are amazing! CIWWAF write their songs about teenage life, and it is so true! The songs mention the problems of alcohol, social awcudeness(spelling), relationships, friendships, sex and rejection. To me there arn't many other albums out there with this much depth! It cries out uniqueness, and I love it for that! But I will say that this is quite an emo album, well it is from the same record label of Panic! and FOB etc... If you like emo, you'll like this.
